Dell Technologies
I led strategy and execution for next-gen enterprise security UX at Dell, transforming complex, high risk workflows into intuitive, mobile first experiences. My work supported Dell’s global security transformation by improving usability, enforcing design consistency, and accelerating product delivery across multiple platforms.
Problem
Security platform users, from IT admins to analysts, faced fragmented workflows, high task complexity, and inconsistent interfaces, leading to slower response times, reduced efficiency, and diminished trust in the system.
Solution
I rearchitected core workflows, developed a scalable mobile first design system, and embedded research driven UX practices, simplifying complex interactions, improving clarity, and enabling faster, more consistent iteration across Dell’s security tools.
Key Outcomes
- 40% faster task completion by simplifying workflows and redesigning UI across threat monitoring and policy management tools
- 20% increase in customer satisfaction (CSAT) through research informed interaction design and responsive layouts
- 25% reduction in front-end build time via a shared design system adopted across 5+ security platforms
- Delivered Figma libraries, interaction specs, and UX playbooks to ensure design-to-code fidelity across Agile sprints
Key Initiatives
- Mobile-First Design System: Established a unified visual language across platforms, reducing design debt and enabling consistency at scale
- Research-Driven UX: Led journey mapping, persona development, wire framing, and prototyping to validate concepts and shape product roadmaps
- Cross Functional Alignment: Embedded design within Agile workflows, partnering with PMs, engineers, and QA to deliver usable, accessible solutions
- Team Leadership: Served as a player/coach, mentoring designers, elevating UX quality, and driving process maturity across the org
Impact
This work modernized Dell’s enterprise security experience, balancing usability, compliance, and technical complexity. By translating high risk workflows into intuitive interfaces and building cross-functional trust, I improved user satisfaction while aligning design efforts with broader business and security objectives.
